John’s writing aims to make us think about how our gardening affects the world around us…
Environmental gardening writer John Walker has just released a second collection of his thought-provoking ‘Digging Deep’ articles, which originally appeared in Organic Gardening magazine (the series was later inherited by Kitchen Garden). Digging Deep in the Garden: Book Two (Earth-friendly Books, 2016, ISBN 978-0-9932683-5-9) contains 14 essays on ‘cage-rattling’ topics including putting the brakes on runaway consumerism through ‘freegardening’, rethinking our addiction to high-dependency container gardening, and exploring our growing prospects in a topsy-turvy climate.
John’s writing aims to make us think about how our gardening affects the world around us, and encourages us to see our role as a potential force for good. Book One, containing the first 14 articles in the series, was published last year, and two further volumes are in the pipeline.
You can buy Digging Deep in the Garden: Book Two for £7, or Books 1 and 2 for £12, saving £2, direct from John’s website at http://earthfriendlygardener.net/books-gardening-environment-writer-author-john-walker-how-create-an-eco-garden/
