Come to the Virtual Village Fete!

Coronation Gardens for Food and Nature project was brought about by His Majesty King Charles’s passion for community food growing, and is a partnership between The Wildlife Trusts, the WI, Garden Organic and Incredible Edible. The project is all about inspiring more people to grow food in a wildlife-friendly way.

It’s easy to be involved. The end of the autumn harvest is a traditional time for communities to celebrate together, but it’s not practical for everyone. This year, therefore, the Coronation Gardens for Food and Nature project is running a Virtual Village Fete – it’s an open, free-to-enter photography competition and they would love as many entries as possible.

The categories range from serious – to silly. And there are prizes!

  • Best container garden
  • Best shot of an insect on a plant
  • General produce category – a selection of food you’ve grown this year, arranged in the most artful way
  • Most flamboyant insect
  • Vegetable that looks most like a celebrity
  • Food fails – wonky cakes, lumpy curries, jam that glows in the dark…
  • Ugliest veg

The competition is open from October 1st until October 27th, and you can enter as many categories as you like. To find pout more and join in the fun go to: https://mycoronationgarden.org/virtual-village-fete
